Wednesday, September 27| 11:30am-1:30pm | At the Henry and Sandra Friedman Holocaust Center for Humanity
Join us for a special event featuring a short film followed by a dramatic reading of "My Life in Auschwitz & Bergen-Belsen," the testimony of Lucia Capelluto from Rhodes.
Lucia Capelluto gave her testimony to Lina Galasso Delfini in January of 1946 in Rome. It captures the essence of a young 18 year old girl, who after just experiencing the Holocaust, finds the strength to tell her story, a story she will never tell again. A video introduction by Isaac Habib, son of Lucia Capelluto from the Kahal Shalom Synagogue in Rhodes, will be followed by a dramatic reading of Lucia Capelluto’s testimony by actress Claire Marx.
This program is offered In partnership with Congregation Ezra Bessaroth, the Seattle Sephardic Network, and Lela and Harley Franco.
