10:30am-12:00pm - Memorial service at the Holocaust Memorial, Stroum Jewish Community Center, Mercer Island
Candle lighting and memorial service with Rabbi Jim Mirel and Rivy Poupko Kletenik.  Special performance by students from the Seattle Hebrew Academy.

2:30-4:30pm - "The Family: Ties, Separations, Rebuilding, and Remembering" - With Author David Laskin, Survivor Josh Gortler, and Professor Daniel Chirot. Kane Hall, University of Washington. Kaddish (Mourner's Prayer) led by Rabbi Zari Weiss, Kol HaNeshamah.

As part of Yom Hashoah, we encourage you to read "The Family" by local author David Laskin.
